Michael Chang: TWMA Will Lead Members to New Blue Ocean
The 6th TWMA’s handover ceremony of chairmanship was held at Lilo Center in Taichung City on January 6, 2018. The ceremony was together with Leadmac Machinery’s end-year banquet, with over 1,200 guests joined the event. Guests and staff all enjoyed event entertainments during the ceremony.
After Michael Chang, the CEO of Leadermac, taking the oath as TWMA’s chairman, he expressed that he will guide members to obtain orders domestically and abroad through more innovative, forward-looking, pioneering strategy, and will actively implement blue ocean strategy.
Looking back on past 3 years, Chang said, even with unstable conditions of global market, trade protectionism from powerful countries, erratic exchange rate in developing countries, emerging of new competitors, and political instability, TWMA’s members still maintain market position by continually investing in R&D and innovation. Chang said, there will be more challenging in 2019. He expects every to work together for better future.
Michael Chang thanked all TWMA’s members, government units, agents from countries, Leadermac’s staff, and every guests joined the event. He expected that everyone will carry historical mission of woodworking machinery industry to have a prosperous 2019.
During the handover ceremony, a baseball bat was passed by former chairmans, including Winston Chiu, Charlie Huang, Bill Hung, C. L. Tu, Po Shin Tsung, to Michael Chang. Chang took the bat and swung it, which symbolize continuity and the dawn of the new era. After then, new TWMA’s 28 directors and supervisors entered the stage and raised toast to all guests in the event.
